Why I switched to cloth.

OK so I have not always been a cloth diapering momma. When my son was born I was 21 and really didn't know much about anything. I used pampers. I soon found that my son, Cole, had a constant diaper rash. I mean blisters and bad open sores. I took him to the doctor from the time he was 2 weeks old to the time that he was 1 1/2 and I couldn't get any answers. I finally took him to see an allergist after his 2nd birthday and to my amazement he has severe skin allergies. He was allergic to the diapers and the rash cream that I had been using. I already had my daughter, Eden, by this time and she just turned 6 months that's when I made the most controversial decision in my short life as a mother. I switched to cloth diapers.
My family, not all but some, turned their noses up and told me I was strange for wanting to do this. I politely told them that this was not their decision and I would do what was best for my children. I hated to see my sweet Cole cry every time that I took his pamper off. I did lots of research and found that there was so much information that I was overwhelmed. I read lots of blogs and watched lots of cloth diapering vlogs. I found them to be super helpful. So after I finished my research I ordered my first diapers. I waited to receive what us cloth diaperers call fluff in the mail.(They call it fluff because they make your baby have a fluffy booty.) I got them and did the necessary prepping. I started my cloth journey after the diapers dried and I will never ever go back. I just wish I would have done it from birth with all of my babies. If we decide to have anymore that will be the case.

Giveaways, Product Review Requests, and Thought of the Day!!!!

I am plan to give away some of the products that I do reviews on. Also I would love to get you guys involved in my blog by also having open contests between the followers. I do not plan to start the giveaways or contests until I have at last 25 followers so that the same person is not getting all of the products. I will be posting details on how to enter the contests and giveaways when I get a few followers.

Thought of the Day!!!!
Why when I tell my kids something do they just ignore me and keep playing? Now when my husband Chad tells them something they do it right then? Or at least my son does. My daughter is not quite old enough to really know what you mean. If you have any input please feel free to share.

Product Review Requests
If you have a product that you want me to review just leave me a note about what it is. I will find the product and do a review as quickly as I can. I love trying new ways to go organic. I also like to find new things that I absolutely love.

Soap nuts and More

Ok everyone I just wanted to post a quick blog about a product that my cousin told me about. This product is like an all natural laundry detergent. I have not tried them but I will be ordering some and reviewing them here. I am also going to send some to my cousin so that I can have two opinions.

So for this week I just want to give a small piece of advice on going more natural in your diets even if you have a husband like mine who eats nothing but meat and potatoes. I have discovered that when you go to the store to buy food instead of buying prepared food buy fresh produce. You can cook those foods from scratch and alot of them are not hard to make. I myself go to the Sprouts Natural Market and buy organic produce. I know that it is a little more expensive but can you put a price on your well being? Then when I get home I put every thing in the fridge with no stickers or labels because my husband doesn't need to know that he is eating organic. He wouldn't eat if he knew.

Thought of the Day!!!!!
When is the time to take care of ourselves? I always here people saying that they wanna take better care of themelves as they eat a big greasy burger for Burger King. YUCK!!! I can understand that it is quick and easy but when you do it once a day you are just asking to hurt your body. Remember that God wants us to treat our bodies as temples. Would you wipe grease on the walls of Gods temple????????

Sunbaby Diaper Review

Hello Y'all,
I am reviewing Sunbaby pocket cloth diapers. I bought two of these diapers off of EBay because I was unhappy with my Shinies pocket clothes that I had been using. This diaper has snaps and does not come in hook and loop(Velcro). I actually love that fact because I believe that the hook and loop wears out much quicker than the snaps. This is a one size diaper that should fit from about 10 pounds to potty training but the funny thing is they offer two sizes of one size diapers. Size 1 is for smaller skinnier babies and size 2 is for chunky babies. I have two of these diapers currently and I am going to order more from the Sunbaby website. I will post a link below so you can go right to the sight. The diapers I have are size 1 and my daughter weighs just over 18 pounds. I have her on the medium snap for the size and she has a very small waist so she is on the smallest waist snaps. I love my prints I have the pink butterfly and the brown and pink flower.
First I want to say that this diaper is very inexpensive. They cost about 7 dollars a piece on the website but the pricing depends on the quantity that you order. They offer three different inserts first is just a microfiber which is 3 layers. This is what I have and I think that are extremely absorbent. A blended insert that has 2 outer layers of bamboo which is very absorbent and 2 inner layers that are microfiber. Then they offer just a 3 layer bamboo insert. I would suggest that you have some of these just to stuff in your diapers for over night.
I have never ever had any problems with these diapers leaking of falling apart like I have with some other brands that I ordered off of EBay. I would suggest this diaper to anyone. I love the construction and the quality but most of all I love the price.

So with that I will bid you happy cloth diapering.

The Natural Rancher

Hello all,
My name is Celeste. I live on a ranch in Texas. I am a stay at home mom with two young children. My son is 2 and my Daughter is about to be 8 months. I believe in living life the natural way. As many of my friends say I am a breastfeeding, sling wearing, cloth diapering, nature loving hippie. Even though I am not really old enough to be a hippie at 23. I just want to take care of myself and my children and teach them healthy ways to live because I want them to live long lives. I will be doing research on many things from what you eat to what you wash your clothes in. I will also post cloth diaper reviews on my blog whenever I recieve fluff in the mail. I will also post thoughts of the day and weekly steps to changing to an all natural life. Thank you for reading my blog.
